Anyhow

It’s a shame and it’s a pity
The way you treat me now
I know you can’t forgive me
But forgive me anyhow
The ending got so ugly
I even heard you say
You never ever loved me
Oh but love me anyway

Dreamed about you baby
You were wearing half your dress
I know you have to hate me
But could you hate me less?
I used up all my chances
And you’ll never take me back
But there ain’t no harm in asking
Could you cut me one more slack?

I’m naked and I’m filthy
And there’s sweat upon my brow
And both of us are guilty
Anyhow
Have mercy on me baby
After all I did confess
Even though you have to hate me
Could you hate me less?

It’s a shame and it’s a pity
I know you can’t forgive me
The ending got so ugly
You never ever loved me
Dreamed about you baby
I know you have to hate me
I’m naked and I’m filthy
And both of us are guilty
Anyhow
Have mercy on me baby

Assim mesmo

É uma vergonha, é uma pena
O jeito que você me trata, penso
Sei que você não pode me perdoar
Mas me perdoa, assim mesmo
O nosso final foi tão feio
Eu até te ouvi dizer a esmo
Você nunca, jamais me amou
Ah, mas me ama assim mesmo

Sonhei com você, meu amor
Com o vestido aberto ao meio
Sei que você precisa me odiar
Mas não podia me odiar menos?
Já usei todas as minhas chances
E você nunca me aceita de volta
Mas não faz mal perguntar
Você não pode me dar uma folga?

Eu estou nu e estou imundo
E há suor sobre meu cenho
E nós dois somos culpados
Assim mesmo
Tenha piedade de mim, amor
Depois de tudo, confessei mesmo
Ainda que você tenha que me odiar
Será que não podia me odiar menos?

É uma vergonha, é uma pena
Sei que você não pode me perdoar
O nosso final foi tão feio
Você nunca, jamais me amou
Sonhei com você, meu amor
Sei que você precisa me odiar
Eu estou nu e estou imundo
E nós dois somos culpados de amar
Assim mesmo
Tenha piedade de mim, amor

Show me the place

Show me the place
Where you want your slave to go
Show me the place
I’ve forgotten, I don’t know
Show me the place
For my head is bending low
Show me the place
Where you want your slave to go

Show me the place
Help me roll away the stone
Show me the place
I can’t move this thing alone
Show me the place
Where the Word became a man
Show me the place
Where the suffering began

The troubles came
I saved what I could save
A thread of light
A particle a wave
But there were chains
So I hastened to behave
There were chains
So I loved you like a slave

Show me the place
Where you want your slave to go
Show me the place
I’ve forgotten, I don’t know
Mostre-me o lugar

Mostre-me o lugar
Do seu escravo ficar
Mostre-me o lugar
Eu me esqueci, sei lá
Mostre-me o lugar
Pra cabeça abaixar
Mostre-me o lugar
Do seu escravo ficar

Mostre-me o lugar
Ajuda a empurrar a rocha
Mostre-me o lugar
Sozinho não acho que possa
Mostre-me o lugar
Onde a Palavra se fez homem
Mostre-me o lugar
Onde o sofrimento fez nome

Começaram as desgraças
Eu salvei o que pude salvar
Uma linha de luz
Um pingo, uma onda do mar
Mas havia correntes
Então corri me comportar
Havia correntes, então
Como um escravo fui te amar

Mostre-me o lugar
Do seu escravo ficar
Mostre-me o lugar
Eu me esqueci, sei lá
